Here is the IES Global Issues class. Can you believe we have been studying together for an entire year. I can't believe there are only four classes left!
I’m an assistant professor in the Faculty of Education at the Okanagan Campus of the University of British Columbia. A PhD (TESL) graduate from the University of Calgary with a passion for teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL), I have taught EAL at all levels to both children and adults around the world. My current research interests lie in the field of English for Academic Purposes and the transition to Post-Secondary Programs of Study. As part of that research agenda, I am investigating vocabulary use in novice academic writing and the curricular implications for developing users of English.
